Working on the restoration of the Kiev Operetta was a real challenge, requiring high precision and fine craftsmanship. Our team restored lost gold elements and gilded many new molding elements, giving the theater its former greatness. The project used imitation gold to emphasize the historical value and elegance of the architectural details. The Mariinsky Palace is a unique object with a rich history and architectural heritage. As part of the restoration project, our team gilded the decorative elements, emphasizing their refinement and sophistication. The gold leaf was used, which is able to withstand the effects of time and preserve the palace’s luxurious appearance. Alla worked on decorative elements including carved ceilings, massive columns and arched cornices that gave the interior the spirit of ancient castles. Each element was covered with the finest layer of gold leaf to emphasize the rich texture and create a sense of true grandeur. Instead of the traditional gold leaf, our team used imitation gold leaf, which perfectly conveys the atmosphere of historical luxury.
